Field Hockey Showcases

Finding a balance for our athletes and families means we can't be at every tournament.  For those athletes that want more opportunities to showcase their skills outside of GMG attended events, we recommend the following Showcases that can be entered individually.  When multiple GMG athletes attend these events together, it can replicate that "team" experience.

College Connection Northeast Showcase

The College Connection Northeast Showcase is a 3-day high exposure camp for athletes looking for recruitment opportunities. The 2024 Showcase was held in mid-June and participants can attend as overnight or day campers.  Coaches select high-performing athletes to attend the Under Armour Select Games, an invite-only tournament held in July.

USA Field Hockey - NEXUS

Nexus is USA Field Hockey's Olympic development pathway.  There are 3 "local" weekends of training camps followed by a regional invitational camp.  Athletes from the regional camp can selected to the Nexis  Championship tournament in Virginia Beach, VA and potentially even the Junior Olympic Games.

The Lineup

The Lineup is a unique clinic format where each athlete chooses the schools/coaches they want to work with during three daily clinics.  It's a great format to evaluate the connection between athlete and coach.

The New England College Classic

The New England College Classic is a great Team event, but there is an individual showcase event on the evening before the team event starts that is well-attended by coaches.  The event also hosts an "uncommitted" game that is individual entry.
